Getting Started

What is Aurem?

Aurem is an employee financial benefits platform.

Aurem provides access to corporate and personal financial benefits, such as a Gratuity calculator and an allowances tracking tool.

How does Aurem work?

Employers sign up to Aurem and get access to an admin portal. Employers add their employees and choose which benefits to offer.

Employees view and manage their benefits through a mobile app.

Aurem charges employers a per-seat fee for each employee, and charges a small fee on financial transactions.

How can I register with Aurem?

Go to www.admin.aurem.ae and sign-up using your company email ID.

What steps are required to set up a company?

  • Create company

    • Provide basic company information like name and registration number.

    • Provide registered address.

  • Add employees

    • Bulk-upload employees from a CSV file or manually add them individually.

    • This step can be skipped and completed later.

  • Create benefits

    • Choose which benefits are available and assign them to employees.

    • This step can be skipped and completed later.

  • Select subscription plan

    • Choose from Starter, Premium, or Enterprise plans. Click here for more information on plans.

    • This step can be skipped and completed later.

  • Verify company

    • Upload company documents and sign a contract.

    • This step can be skipped and completed later.

What documents and information do I need to register with Aurem?

  • Company Name

  • Trade license number

  • Company Address

  • Articles of association

  • The industry your business operates in

  • Power of Attorney/Memorandum of Association

Can I change my company details after I register?

Yes. You can edit your company details in the Company Settings section of the Admin

portal.

You will be asked to resubmit your documents (Trade License, Articles of Association) if you edit any of the following:

  • Company Name

  • Trade License Number

  • Registered Address

What is a registration number?

The Trade License Number listed on your Trade License.

How long does it take to verify my company?

Aurem usually takes 1-2 business days to verify the information you provide.

My company is verified. What do I do next?

Go to www.admin.aurem.ae and start using the platform.

My company was rejected. What do I do next?

Unfortunately Aurem can’t offer you services at this time. We’ll keep your details on our system so you can apply again after some time.

Who should use Aurem admin platform within my company?

You can choose who accesses the Aurem admin portal at your company.

Aurem recommends that only HR managers, Finance managers, and HR Ops are given access to Aurem due to the sensitive nature of financial benefits.

Can I add more than one person to the Aurem admin portal?

You can add as many admins as you like to Aurem admin portal at no extra cost.

Aurem recommends that you keep the number to a minimum due to the sensitive nature of financial benefits.

Can admins have different access levels in the Aurem admin portal?

No. Aurem currently does not offer user role based controls - all admins have equal rights.

What fees does Aurem charge?

  • Aurem charges employers a per-seat fee for each employee added to the platform. Aurem offers different tiers of pricing, which can be selected at the Subscription stage.

  • Aurem charges a fee on funds being managed by Aurem. The fee is between 1% and 1.19% and is deducted from the amount invested.

All fees can be viewed on our Schedule of Fees page.

The Aurem app and admin portal will clearly show the exact fee before you proceed with a transaction.


Subscriptions

What subscription plans are available?

Our pricing page lists all available plans.

How can I pay for Aurem?

Aurem accepts subscription payments by card or bank transfer.

Bank details are provided to you within the Aurem admin portal.

When will I be billed?

Aurem bills you on 1st of each month.

For card payment, your card-on-file will be automatically charged.

For bank transfer payment, you will receive an email invoice and a task in your Aurem admin portal.

Can I change my invoice date?

No. Aurem only supports subscription invoicing on 1st of each month.

What are the payment terms?

Payment terms will be described in your contract. They are usually up to 30 days.

Can I change my payment method?

Yes. Log in to your Aurem admin portal and select X

Can I change my subscription plan?

This depends on your agreement with us. Talk to support for more information.

How is my invoice calculated?

You will be invoiced for each employee in Aurem with at least one active benefit.

Each employee will be charged for the days they were active on the platform.

Will I be billed for an employee who didn’t use Aurem?

You will be billed for each employee in Aurem with at least one active benefit, even if the employee hasn’t logged in to Aurem or used the benefit.

What happens if my card payment is unsuccessful?

Aurem will retry the payment until it is successful.


Employee Management

How do I add employees into Aurem?

Go to the admin panel and click Employees, then click Add Employees.

You can bulk-add employees from a file, or add employees manually one at a time.

What is the file format for bulk-upload of employees?

Use the template here provided in the Aurem portal.

  • All the fields except for labour_id and end_date are mandatory

  • Always use DD-MM-YYYY format

  • All salary information is in AED

  • Only UAE IBANs are accepted

Can my employees access Aurem App without my invitation?

No. Employees can only access the Aurem mobile app after you send the invitation.

Can I re-send an invitation to an employee?

Yes. Select the employee(s) who you wish to send the invitation to in the Employees screen and click Send Invite.

You can do this as many times as you wish.

Can I add an employee into Aurem admin portal without sending the invitation?

Yes. When you create an employee the invitation is not automatically sent.

You can choose when to send the invitation.

Can I delete duplicate employees?

No. Employees cannot be deleted.

Aurem checks for a unique Emirates ID when creating an employee to prevent duplicates.

Raise a support ticket by contacting [email protected] to delete an employee.

What happens when an employee leaves my company?

Enter the employee’s end date into Aurem. Aurem will stop calculating the employee’s gratuity.

The employee can still access the app in case they wish to keep their accounts open after leaving your company.

Can I export employe data from Aurem to a CSV or Excel file?

No. Aurem does not currently have a feature to export data.

Can I link Aurem into my HR tool to sync employee details?

No. Currently Aurem does not link with any HR tools.

Can I link Aurem into a BI/data tool for live insights?

No. Currenlty Aurem only features reports within the dashboard of the admin portal.

What employee details can I edit after I create the employee?

An admin can edit the following details about an employee in the Aurem admin portal.

  • Name

  • Emirates ID number

  • MOL ID number

  • Email address

  • Employment start date

  • Employment end date

  • Total monthly salary

  • Basic monthly salary

  • IBAN

  • Level

  • Department

  • Job Title

Can employees edit their own details through the Aurem employee app?

No. Employees can only submit a request to you when they want to change some details.

You will receive the request by email.


Benefits

What benefits does Aurem offer for employees?

Gratuity calculator

  • A way to calculate gratuity/end of service benefits for your employees.

  • Money is not stored on the Aurem platform.

  • Employees can see their gratuity amount in the Aurem app.

Allowances

  • Annual amounts assigned to employees for specific purposes such as schooling, travel, or housing benefits.

  • Employees see their allowance and submit receipts in the Aurem app.

  • You approve or reject the expenses and credit the employee.


Allowances

Can I choose whether to enable the Allowances feature?

Yes. You can disable the feature for individual employees, or for all employees.

Can I choose how much is available to employees?

Yes. You can set the limits on each allowance as a fixed amount.

Can I set up multiple allowances?

Yes. There is no limit on the number of allowances you set up.

Each allowance contains up to three categories:

  • Housing

  • Travel

  • Schooling

Each allowance has a name (for example “Leadership allowances”) and is assigned to employees.

How do I assign allowances to employees?

Allowances can be assigned to all employees, or to a select group based on:

  • Team (for example all Marketing and Sales employees)

  • Level (for example all L1 and L2 employees)

  • Salary (for example all employees earning AED 30,000 - AED 50,000)

And any combination of these.

Can I assign an allowance to an individual employee?

No. An allowance can only be assigned to all employees, or based on the following:

  • Team (for example all Marketing and Sales employees)

  • Level (for example all L1 and L2 employees)

  • Salary (for example all employees earning AED 30,000 - AED 50,000)

Aurem suggests creating a new team with only the individual employee and assigning the allowance to them.

Does Aurem link into my finance software to automate the employee repayments?

No. Aurem does not currently integrate with finance software.

What action is needed from my Finance/HR team?

Approve requests

  • Approve allowance requests as soon as possible by checking your email inbox or the Aurem admin portal regularly.

  • Ensure cover for leave or sickness so that someone always has access to approve requests for employees.

Reimburse employees

  • Reimburse the employees for approved requests because the employee has already paid the amount.

  • You will receive a report after X of each month with a list of all employees who have an approved allowance request, and the amount.

Can I track the number of allowance requests?

Yes. This information is available in the dashboard of the Aurem admin portal.

How much does the Allowances feature cost?

There is no cost for the Allowances feature. It is built into the subscription pricing for the Aurem platform.


Privacy and Security

Is the Aurem admin portal secure?

Aurem uses two factor authentication and to make sure only authorised users from your organisation can access the portal.

Is the Aurem platform legitimate?

Aurem is licensed by Abu Dhabi Global Markets to provide financial services.

Aurem follows the Financial Services Regulatory Authority’s rules and is audited by them.

Who do you share data with?

We don’t sell data from the Aurem platform to anyone. Employer and employee data is shared with some of our processing partners, for example to check identities.

Where is data on the Aurem platform stored?

Data is stored on secure servers in the UAE.

Does Aurem follow GDPR?

Aurem stores and handles employee data as per UAE laws.

All data is stored within the UAE and is handled according to ADGM Privacy and Security Policies.

How do I know the employee app is being used by the correct person?

Aurem conducts identity checks on app users before granting access.

How can I generate an audit log of the Aurem portal?

You can click View all activity on the dashboard to see all changes on the platform.

How long does it take for Aurem to respond?

Aurem aims to respond to queries within 2 working days.
